This week has been another busy week in Reception! We have been reading the story of ‘The Snail and the Whale’ by Julia Donaldson. We loved listening to this story. We drew the characters in Drawing club, as well as inventing a vehicle for the snail to travel on more adventures. We also had lots of fun making a story plate, where we could draw where the snail went on different adventures. In Maths we have been learning about 2d shapes and looking at different patterns and properties of the shapes. In Science we had lots of fun identifying parts of a fish and naming them, as well as drawing a fish. In PSHE, we learnt about life cycles, we used this as a great opportunity to retrieve any previous knowledge about life cycles. On Monday, we also learnt about World Ocean day and why this day is important. We read some stories about how important it is to recycle and keep our oceans clean to protect the creatures and wildlife.
